Afternoon Painting

I thought of this in the shower so I had to hurry and write down as much as I could remember. The challenge was to describe a hot summer day back home without actually directly mentioning the season or the heat. I don't actually do poetry that often.
fan whirring
the window is open
blinds breathing in
out
rattling softly on the sill
paintbrush mumbles on the canvas
sashaying swirling sunny colors
dancing with the whisper of trees
sounds hang
in the air, then
drop
steady
down
water slides on a lemonade glass
ice cubes
long gone
